'House Raffle for Youth’ Rules and Regulations
• The ‘House Raffle for Youth’ is sponsored by the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps, Springfield Local Band Boosters, Maumee Athletic Boosters Club, and the Maumee Band Parent Organization. The sponsors will share the net proceeds of the ‘House Raffle for Youth’.
• The price per entry is $125.00, payable by MasterCard, VISA, Discover, or check (to ‘House Raffle for Youth’). The price is not a deductible Federal income tax charitable contribution.
• Offers to enter may be mailed to: House Raffle for Youth, P.O. Box 576, Maumee, OH 43537-0576, or faxed to 419.698.9780.
• Entrants must be U.S. residents and 18 years of age or older. Offers to enter will be accepted ONLY by the mailing of a receipt to the entrant. Offers for which no valid return mail address is provided; tendered with a check which is returned unpaid or a credit or debit card charge which is declined; or not postmarked by, or by fax after 5:00 pm EST on June 20, 2010 will NOT be accepted.
• If less than 3,000 entries are accepted by 5:00 pm April 5, 2010, the Raffle House will be withdrawn as a prize and the first place prize will be 50% of
the net difference of all entry fees received less the sum of all expenses, early bird prizes and secondary prizes.
• Odds of winning depend on the number of entries. No more than 3,800 entries will be accepted. Each entry will have at least 1 chance in 63.333 of
winning a prize. Each entry accepted before the December 8, 2009 early bird drawing will have at least 1 chance in 59.387 of winning a prize.
• One early-bird prize will be drawn on each of December 8, 2009 and January 29 and February 14 and March 2, 2010. All secondary prizes will be drawn on July 7, 2010. Notice of the time and date of the drawing will be mailed to entrants. Entrants need not be present to win. By entering, entrants consent to the use of their names and photographs without compensation to promote the ‘House Raffle for Youth’ and its sponsors.
• Each winner is responsible for all Federal or other income taxes on the prize won. Taxes will be withheld from cash prizes as required by law. To
claim a prize, a winner must complete and sign a Form W-9. When required by law, a Form 1099-G identifying the winner and the prize won will be filed
with the IRS.
• Representatives of the sponsors on the House Raffle committee, and family members of such persons living in the same home or who can be claimed by such persons as 2009 federal income tax dependents may not enter the ‘House Raffle for Youth’.
